Contact UsAbout
Edge Gilders is a contract edge gilding house. For more than thirty years we have finished edges for publishers, printers, binderies, and card and stationery companies, and we remain one of the few shops in the country that does this work as its whole trade.
Foil edging and ink edging are both done in house, on equipment built around production work rather than one-off pieces. Equipped for short-run custom editions through high-volume production runs, with direct freight receiving for trade jobs, each job is prepared, edged and checked here before it leaves the shop. For ink work, colors can be matched to specified PMS colors, giving printers and designers a predictable result from one run to the next.
Most of our work arrives as part of a larger print or bindery job, so we understand what happens before it reaches us, and what still has to happen after it leaves. We quote quickly, turn work around without holding up the rest of the production schedule, and inspect the finished edges before the job goes back out.
